Microbiology Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Conform to Falabs Health & Safety requirements

• Conform to Falabs Quality system


• Perform preparation and analytical procedures following written methods to strict deadlines.
• Sub-culturing, sample plating and plate counting.

• Report any anomalies in equipment, working practises or the environment using preventive procedures.


• Check balances and equipment (thermometers, pipettes and dispensers) per AQC requirements.

• Other ad hoc duties as and when required.

Several shift patterns available.

Experience/ Qualifications:

Work experience in a contract laboratory or food handling environment is preferable. No experience is required as full training will be given. O levels are the minimum requirement

Applicants with qualifications in science, Microbiology or Chemistry may be eligible for accelerated promotion. A methodical approach and ability to work on your own initiative are essential within this role.
