Stephen Harris With 30 years in chemistry and a passion for quality and cost reduction Stephen Mark Harris (aka Harry) started out in the food business in 1989, joining Lawlabs from Hoechst UK Ltd. In 1990 he founded Chemcheck Analytical Services Ltd which evolved into ACS Food Analysis Ltd and focused on process driven techniques in order to supply high quality but low cost base analysis. In 1998 a large testing house acquired ACS. Harry went on to build up their business to 6 sites in the UK and 1 in Southern Ireland becoming the largest most cost effective laboratory network in the UK and establishing good quality low priced testing, changing the marketplace forever. High quality process driven large factory labs have replaced the traditional small old fashioned high priced acedemic based labs. In 2005 he became focused on their European operations in France, Holland and Sweden before leaving in 2006. He moved on to join FALabs as CEO. He is well known in the industry for being able 'to make things happen' and was glad to be back providing a quality service where the customer comes first. "It's a pleasure to be working with a team of people that actually know and understand food legislation, manufacturing production processes and can apply their knowledge with full effect to the benefit of the customer rather than just churning samples to meet budget. Volume driven, high quality, low cost base factory labs are the only way forward, utilizing the latest technology to provide the service and prices industry needs and demands ". |
