NetPortaltm is the industry leading secure sample management website; through it one can access test results and register samples with ease.

It allows data manipulation and trending and is intuitive therefore easy to learn to use. The Portal synchronizes with FAL servers and completely bypasses the need for files sent by email. It is platform independent which means one can securely access it anywhere at anytime from any computer with web access.

Samples can be registered with ease, and with FAL bar coding technology all you have to do is scan the barcode on the product and it is registered, it is as simple as that; no more lengthy typing!!! FAL can supply thermal label printers where required. Before orders are submitted order numbers can be entered, costs of the request can be viewed and the order can be saved or edited before submission, allowing for cost control.

A plethora of Test Reports can be produced at a click of a button, minimal user skill is required. Data can also be filtered with ease and downloaded into Excel for further analysis and reporting. There is even a built in graphing button.

This package will remove the need for printing out and filing results therefore again saving time and money. FAL assures all data for a minimum of ten years.

Customers can view their Customer Service Charters for regular review, Out of Specification reporting procedures are editable allowing customers to choose who and at what time they want the lab to contact them in cases of issues. Customers can choose one or a mixture of contact procedures for example emails, phone calls, text messaging and even define what time they want to be called at, FAL can call any time of the day or night. Customer specifications for all food products can be viewed and edited by them and prices can be checked. Even invoices are available for download making life easier for all.

It is without doubt the easiest and most user friendly system on the market and customers are choosing to move over from out Netlabtm excel/email based reporting systems. Of course customers can have both systems if they wish but all customers will have NetPortaltm by default.

Upon loading NetPortal micro results are displayed for the current week. Samples are selected by simply clicking on them.
The following interface buttons are available:

  1. Micro Results – Displays the micro results interface (which is the current interface).
  2. Micro Registration – Displays the micro registration interface which allows users to register there samples.
  3. Review Submissions – Displays a list of all samples submissions made to the laboratory using NetPortal
  4. Account Details – Provides the user with options to view details relating to their NetPortal account.
  5. Previous / Next – Display results from the previous / next time period.
  6. Clear Selection – Clears the current sample selection.
  7. Apply Filter – Displays results which match the current filter.
  8. Column textboxes – Allows the user to enter a filter condition for any column. Wildcards are accepted, and the filter is case insensitive.
  9. Show Only OOS – Displays only results which are out of specification.
  10. Show All – Shows all results (after Show Only OOS).
  11. Print Single Sample Certificate(s) – Generates a PDF certificate for each sample selected.
  12. Print Multi Samples Certificate – Generates a single PDF certificate showing all selected samples.
  13. Download to Excel – Generates an Excel file containing the currently filtered data.
  14. Convert? – Converts scientific notation to integers when generating Excel files.
  15. Graph – Generates a graph of the currently filtered data
  16. Time Periods – Alters the amount of data loaded by NetPortal at any one time.

Note, there are no <less than signs, all data has been converted to numbers allowing for trend analysis and graphing in excel.

The following screenshot shows the initial registration interface, samples are selected by checking the box against them. Addition of duplicate samples is accomplished by entered a quantity in the relevant text box. When all samples have been selected “Add Samples” is pressed to move the next screen. It is also possible to select samples by scanning a barcode if this has been enabled by FAL.

A number of text boxes are provided for each samples to enter relevant dates / batch codes. The analysis suite is selected from a pre-defined list using the drop-down box. Barcode scanners and printer labels can be purchased which greatly speeds up the process of sample registration.

There is an option to “Add More Products” which returns the user to the previous screen, “Submit Order To Laboratory” which finalises the order, or “Save” which allows the user to return to the registration session at a later time.

The following screen shows how customers can access customer specific information such as the customer service charter, specific customer requests and their prices. From here clients can also modify their contact details and rules for being contacted when OOS - Out of Specification conditions arise. Also customers can view the assigned specification to products and even edit them.

 

Customers will be able to add new products and assign suites of tests.

Customers will soon even be able to see on Google Earth where each FAL refrigerated vehicle is, its speed, exact location and temperature! NetPortal continues to develop by the month.
